Marek,

Thanks for the comments. I hope your wife's application process goes as smoothly as ours has. Everyone complains about the INS -- and they CAN be very bureaucratic at times -- but we haven't had any major problems. Oksana's oath ceremony is at the end of the week and we're planning a big party afterwards. Which reminds me: I should probably get to writing a new blog entry...

Oh, and I'm glad to hear that about the iPhone. I installed a wireless plug-in for Wordpress quite awhile before the iPhone came out. Nice to know I don't need to update it.

fyi. If you search google images for green card... I was looking for a photo of the original green one... Your wife's photo comes up on the first page. Unable to resist a pretty face, I looked up your blog. Nice photos, lucid text, and a description of the process my wife will be going through soon enough! We just had our first interview on thursday. Went well and her "conditional permanent resident card" is in the mail! We'll follow your lead on preparing our ownphotos for the real card. We spent $20+ on some very bad photos for this one.

I myself took the naturalization exam in 95, but since i went to american public schools it was a joke.

Good luck!

Heh, that sounds like an interesting experience. I wonder what happens if you answer the wrong thing to one of those questions. For example:
Q: Do you think you make the right decision?
A: No.

Are they going to search deeper, or would they ignore something like that?

is it N-400?

i don't remember anymore, i got mine last December and already felt some benefits of becoming a citizen - freedom of movement around this globe!
Only one thing- the blue passport will never make me an American, i will always be a person from a foreign country never accepted as "one of us". I base this on facts: comments "Real" Americans make toward me and their attitude. I wonder, did their grandparents receive the same treatments when they first came here to establish in the land of the free?
